Our Purpose

The Wisconsin Association of Christian Schools was founded in 1977 to promote Christian Education in Wisconsin.  We seek to foster, maintain, and improve the moral, spiritual, and academic standards of the Christian schools in Wisconsin.  We are endeavoring to work together to disseminate information vital to our member schools and parents, to encourage excellence in Christian education, and to coordinate activities among member schools.  Recognizing the responsibility of parents to educate their children in all areas of life--spiritual, academic, social, physical--we are striving to protect their rights to do so without governmental encroachment.

Our Membership

Schools wishing to join WACS must submit a statement of agreement with the WACS purpose, doctrinal statement, and philosophy of education as presented in the WACS Constitution and the AACS Statement of Faith.  This statement is submitted annually to the WACS Board of Directors along with the membership fee. 

WACS is the Wisconsin chapter of American Association of Christian Schools.  AACS has over 1,100 affiliated schools with more than 199,000 students in most states and several foreign countries.  When a school joins WACS, it automatically becomes a member of the AACS.
